BARBELL CLASSES AND WORKOUTS

Class is designed to increase strength and cardiovascular endurance simultaneously. This class will focus on strength training and a combination of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.
There will be various forms of cardio (rowing, jump rope, battle ropes, sprints and sled pushes) in addition to body weight conditioning incorporating the use of sand bags, medicine balls, kettlebells, interspersed with 4 specific lifts (dead lifts, squats, presses and cleans).
Emphasis will be on technique and proper form. Baseline data will be taken across all 4 lifts so that weight can be prescribed and scaled on an individual basis.
